Alonzo was born in Monrovia Liberia by Mr. Benjamin Abasi (Late) and Mabel Johnson. As a Christian, Alonzo's mother Mabel encouraged her him to join the church choir of the
maranatha baptist church where he started singing. In 2000, He went to the studio to do an awareness song on HIV/AIDS FOR American embassy IN Liberia, with Liberian ace producer Tom Holder. Right from there, he noticed his God's given gift in music. In 2003, he came up with his first Single INNOCENT recorded at LIVE LINE studio in Lagos Nigeria which brought him to Limelight. The name Alonzo is not a strange name when it comes to music business in Liberia. A Nigerian born by a Liberian mother,his vocal strength has won him so many female fans home and in and out of Liberia where he resides. He is also one of the few AFRICAN artists with so much potentials to take AFRICAN music to the global musical village.
